    The Event

No. This is not about the boxing match between Manny Pacquaio and Joshua Clottey dubbed as “The Event.” It is about the next great event that will take place in the world – the rapture of the church! Just to remind us as His people of that blessed hope that will soon come – lest we are caught sleeping when He comes. What is the rapture? It’s the church being “caught up” to meet the Lord in the air –1 Thess.4:15-17…

    Welcome!

See what the Lord is doing in this part of the world! Rejoice with us for His mercy and grace. Though words and letters are not really enough to express the works of the Lord in and through the lives of His people, just enjoy this humble site we have set up for His glory and for the building up of His beloved church!

Beginning a Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ

Within these pages you'll find information about our church, our ministries, and most importantly, who Jesus Christ is and how you can begin a personal relationship with Him. That's really the focus of what we do at Calvary Chapel-to know Him and to make Him known --to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

    Obeying the Great Commission

We are committed to obey the Great Commission as Jesus said, "Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20).

    Reaching Out to Others

For us, this means ministering to the needs in Dumaguete City and in a broader sense ministering to those beyond our city, beyond our country around the world that do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. The most dynamic, effective way in which we express our faith is by reaching out to others. It is our desire to meet our community's needs in all aspects of spiritual growth, from someone who is meeting Jesus for the first time to a believer who has walked with Him through many seasons.

Great are the works of the Lord!

Wherever you are in your spiritual journey, Calvary Chapel Dumaguete would like to encourage you in Christ-whether it's in intensive Bible study, serving alongside other believers, or in opportunities of fun and fellowship with those who have also embraced Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Calvary Chapels are known for their dedication to the expositional teaching of God's Word and for a balanced blend of the Spirit's power to educate, edify, and empower every believer. We hope that if the Lord leads you into our fellowship, we will be able to share this experience with you.

"Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them." (Psalm 111:2)
